What we hold about you, who else sees it, and how long we keep it. If anything here is unclear, ask us.

Last updated 20 August 2026

The short version
  • We never ask for a password — not ours, and not your social account’s.
  • Your bank account number is encrypted before it is stored.
  • We do not sell your information, and there are no advertising trackers on this site.
  • Our page statistics are built so they cannot be traced back to you.

1. Who holds your information

Insidar Insights Limited, of 15, Fredrick Chiluba, Asokoro, Abuja, is responsible for the information described here, and operates ViewGigs.

Questions, corrections, or a request to see or delete what we hold: support@viewgigs.com, or open a conversation from the help page if you can sign in.

2. What we collect, and why

Only what the work needs. Each item below exists because something would not function without it.

Your phone numberIt is your account. It is how you sign in, and how we reach you about money.
Your name and stateThe name is checked against the name on your bank account before any payment is sent. The state is used to understand where creators are, and is never shown publicly.
Your bank account number and bankTo pay you. The number is encrypted before it is stored, and the account name is checked against yours.
The social accounts you verifySo we can tell your posts from a stranger's. We store the handle and that it was confirmed — never a password, and never access to post.
Your posts and their view countsThe link to each post you submit, and the number of views recorded when it is counted. That count is what you are paid on.
Your earnings and paymentsEvery amount credited to you, what it was for, and what has been paid out. These are financial records and we are required to keep them.
Messages you send supportSo a conversation can continue, and so both of us can point at what was said.
Notification subscriptionsIf you turn on notifications, your browser gives us an address to send them to. Turning them off removes it.

3. What we deliberately do not collect

This section exists because these are the things people reasonably assume a site like this does.

  • No passwords. You sign in with a code sent to your phone. We never ask for a password to this site, and never for your TikTok, Instagram or YouTube password.
  • No access to your social accounts. We cannot post, edit, or delete anything. Confirming an account is yours is done by you posting a short code we give you.
  • No advertising trackers, and no third-party analytics. Nothing on this site reports your browsing to another company.
  • No record of which pages you personally read. We count page visits, but the identifier used is a one-way code that changes every day and is never linked to your account — so the statistics cannot be turned back into a history of what you looked at. See section 5.

4. Who else sees it

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising. It goes to four places, each for one reason:

Our SMS providerYour phone number, so a sign-in code can reach you.
Our bank verification providerYour account number, so the name on the account can be checked before money is sent.
The tax authorityWhere withholding tax is deducted, it is remitted in your name — so your name and the amount are reported.
Your browser's notification serviceIf you turn notifications on, the message is delivered through Google, Apple or Mozilla, depending on your device.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it. If that ever happens and we are permitted to tell you, we will.

5. How the page statistics work

Worth explaining, because most sites do this in a way that would make the rest of this page untrue.

We record which pages are opened, so we can see which jobs get attention. We do not store your IP address, your device details, or your account against those records. Instead we store a scrambled code made from those things mixed with the calendar date.

Because the date is part of it, the same person is one value today and a completely unrelated value tomorrow. That is enough to count how many people visited, and not enough to build a history of any one person’s reading — which is the point.

6. How long we keep it

Money recordsKept for as long as the law requires financial records to be kept, even if you stop working with us. We cannot delete these on request.
Your profile and bank detailsKept while your account is open. Ask us to close it and we remove what we are not required to keep.
Support conversationsKept with your account, so a question asked twice does not start from nothing.
Page statisticsKept as counts. As described above, they are not linked to you and cannot be after the day they were recorded.

7. How it is protected

  • Your bank account number is encrypted before storage, with a key held separately from the database.
  • A newly added or changed bank account cannot receive money for 24 hours, and we text your number the moment it changes — so if somebody else ever makes that change, you have a window to stop it.
  • Your name cannot be edited from inside your account, because a name that could be edited could be changed to match somebody else’s bank account.
  • Withdrawals require a transaction PIN separate from signing in.

No system is perfect. If we ever discover a breach affecting your information, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

8. Cookies

One cookie, to keep you signed in. There are no advertising cookies and nothing that follows you to other sites. Clearing it signs you out.

9. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you may ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it.

Deletion has one limit, and we would rather state it than surprise you with it: records of money paid to you are financial records we are required to keep, so those remain even after an account is closed. Everything else goes.

Ask through support or at support@viewgigs.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

10. Changes

If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. Where a change materially affects how your information is used, we will tell you rather than relying on you noticing.

This describes what ViewGigs does today. The creator agreement covers the terms you work under, and best practices covers how to keep your work payable.
